The Board of Directors of Encanto Real Utility District has adopted a $5,000 exemption from the ad valorem tax valuation for residential property owners who are sixty-five (65) years of age or older or are under a disability for purposes of payment of disability insurance benefits under Federal Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance. This exemption will be reflected on the 2024 property tax bills that will go out later this year.
This exemption is a $2,000 increase from the \$3,000 exemption adopted in 2023.
