Harris County Regional Water Authority Rate Increase
Current Rates
Groundwater – $4.25/1,000 gallons and
Surface Water – $4.70/1,000 gallons
Rates Effective April 1, 2021
Groundwater – $4.60/1,000 gallons and
Surface Water – $5.05/1,000 gallons
Residents are hereby notified of increases to the surface water fees imposed by the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA). The rate change will become effective April 1st, 2021, and residents will see it reflected in their bills shortly thereafter.
The NHCRWA groundwater surcharges will increase from $4.25 per thousand gallons of water used to $5.05 per thousand gallons of water used. The District adds a 10% surcharge for water accountability and usage offset, so residents will see a $5.555 per thousand gallons charge on their bill.
